Hi there my name is Heather Medina, my husband is Juan and we have a daughter named Hayden a son named Abel and a dog named Busta. HABLAMOS ESPANOL TAMBIEN! We decided to do Homestay because we were once international students ourselves and had a great experience. We have been hosting for a few months now. We live at The Promenade at Rio Vista in San Diego, it is a luxury apartment that is secured by key card access and 24 hour security. We also have a prime location at the Rio Vista Transit Station. Guests could easily access all of San Diego including UCSD with ease given our prime location. We also have a number of amenities, in home laundry (free of charge, soap provided), private balcony for guests and private bathroom, cable, private TV, free WiFi in our unit and throughout the complex including the pools, gyms, computer rooms, business/conference centers and club rooms, not to mention a beautiful panoramic view of Mission Valley and the San Diego River. We have an on-site market, groceries, restaurants, everything at the tip of our fingers here.
We have been all over Asia and I have been all over Europe and we love exposing our children to people from different cultures. They will be attending an International Baccalaureate school so we hope to educate them about cultures and other people outside Southern California. We love the outdoors, there is actually a bike trail that leads to the beach right outside our home. We enjoy kayaking through La Jolla's beautiful caves, snorkeling, hiking, swimming and going to the beach. We have dozens of beaches nearby and two large luxury pools with Jacuzzi, cabanas, bbqs etc. You really feel like you are on vacation here.
We don't have many rules, only that you are respectful of our property. If you aren't going to be home for dinner or late just communicate so we know how much food to make, or if we should save you some. If you smoke you need to go outside of the building (and that is a rule of the complex), if you are of age and drink we only ask that you do so in moderation and do not become belligerent and throw up everywhere.
