We are an energetic retired couple who began hosting ESL students in 2012. We have a private studio with a separate entrance for individuals who would like a private and quiet place to stay near Hillcrest, local hospitals, Balboa Park and Downtown San Diego. UCSD Medical Center, Hillcrest Campus and Scripps Hospital are within walking distance as well as Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.
The home is located in University Heights neighborhood, near Hillcrest, Mission Hills and Downtown. Within walking distance are shops, grocery stores, restaurants & coffee shops
The studio has lots of sunlight with a great view, a private patio and is approximately 250 square feet with a private entrance, kitchenette and bathroom. It has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and tea kettle, utensils and dishware. However there is no stove top for cooking.
My husband is French and I am of Italian descent. We have visited many European countries, South America, New Zealand, Africa, Canada and Mexico. We have hiked the Grand Canyon, The Dolomites, the Pilgrim routes of the Camino de Santiago, the Inca Trail, a volcano in New Zealand and many State and National Parks in the United States and Canada. We have hosted students from Russia, China, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, France, Brazil and South Korea.
Rules of the House: No smoking, no pets, no cooking other than microwave. No overnight guests.
