We have been hosting exchange students for about 9 years. We have always liked having students stay with us. We have hosted students from Italy, Brazil, Kuwait, Japan, Switzerland, Indonesia, France, Spain, Germany and China. Our daughter attends college in Long Beach and will occasionally come home on a weekend. We have no other students in our home. We have a small dog, Buddy, that is a Bichon/Poodle mix. My husband and I have both traveled outside the country. My husband has been to about 50 countries (mostly for work). I have been to most of the Central American countries, Korea, England, Bahamas, St. Lucia and Canada.

We are a pretty easy-going family. The only rules we really have are, no smoking in the house, to please keep your room straightened and bring all dishes you use back to the kitchen and to let us know as early in the day as possible if you won't be home for dinner. We invite you to consider yourself part of our family and to do activities with us. It is not a requirement, but you are definitely welcome to join us when we go some where.

There is a bus stop at the end of our street that goes to San Diego State University. From there, you can catch either another bus or the trolley to various locations in San Diego.

While marijuana is legal, in California, we do not allow it or any paraphernalia in our home.


I enjoy cooking and photography. To my knowledge, no one has ever had a complaint about my cooking!

We hope that whoever stays with us feels like they are at home.
