Welcome to San Diego! I the Director of Graduate Admissions at private university and I have worked with many international students. I've been hosting since 2016 and I've had students and teachers from France, Japan and Sweden. I love learning about other cultures and I travel often for work and for fun.
My home is a 3-story townhouse with an outdoor deck. There are 3 bedrooms (one is mine) and 2.5 bathrooms. It's a 5 minute walk to Grossmont College, a 10 minute drive to SDSU and 20 minute drive to UCSD campus. The nearest bus stop is 5 minutes walking distance. Driving distance to downtown and the beaches is 15-20 minutes. Most students use ride shares (Lyft/Uber), the bus or trolley for public transportation.
This is a quiet town home community surrounding by lots of trees. There is a pool on-site and plenty of street parking. You have full use of the house, laundry and kitchen. The guest bathroom is shared (if both rooms are rented). Please be courteous and clean any common areas of the home. I have two small dogs that like lots of attention and like to hang out with everyone, so you must be comfortable with pets in the house. No smoking and no overnight guests.
